Things to remember when changing faucets.
Supplies:
You’ll need the flexible connectors to the water line if you don’t already have it. Not sure Ace is the place to buy them but I got them for around $5 each there for the 16”.
One thing I forgot is the new seals for the bottom drains. You’ll need 2 of them typically and its best to use new ones because the old ones dry out and eventually leak.
Faucets:
The hardest and most annoying point is lining up the drain. Its something you have to do once everything is in place so requires you to be under there adjusting the thing and it rarely works properly. Now look at this, its called “speed drain connect” and they aren’t kidding. It’s AWESOME. you just twist it in and it WORKS first time and can be done before putting the sink in AWESOME!!!
Also, if you’re lucky with the new ones, there is no need to line anything with the taps up. They are awesome as well, I of course had the open/close reversed but it was a simply process to change it. This new faucet was a pleasure to work with. Took about an hour and half but all my time was cleaning up the sink because whoever did Eileen’s side put a lot of silicone on.
My side took a lot longer because I thought I was going to repair it and it was totally rusty below the taps unlike Eileen’s that was like new. Both times I took the whole sink out of course since it was a full replacement but with that rust couldn’t have done anything anyways.

After:
In hindsight we probably didn’t need to replace the taps because it was a mater of simply unscrewing the cover part of the handles and the screw had come out for the hot water. Oh well, the new taps are way nicer anyways.
